“American Fashion Cookbook,” by the Council of Fashion Designers of America ($28, Assouline). It’s hard to picture linguini-skinny designer Devi Kroell gobbling Mascarpone and Nutella Crepes, but she’s one of 100-plus fashion types divulging fave recipes in this bright volume. Sketches and quotes from names like Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors interweave with directions for dishes like Mushroom Truff le Spaghetti à la Isaac Mizrahi or Psychotic Exploding Chestnut Stuffing by Juicy Couture’s Gela Nash-Taylor. Sure, some food is Junior-League-Cookbook easy, but the whole package suggests minds as creative in the kitchen as they are on the catwalk.
